There are a few things that have transpired over the last few days in terms of Josie's care but the bottom line is that not too much has changed. Josie continues to wake each day and sleep each night. She has a feeding tube now and an IV for fluids. She has moments of happiness and wakefulness, and moments of lethargy and inactivity.
Matt and Alissa are by her side. Josh and Sam have been having great days at MCDS and with family. They are being kept busy and happy and all are so well loved.
There have been no major breakthroughs. I check in with Matt at least once a day, sometimes morning and evening to see how things are going. I am trying to respect their privacy and time together, and I am posting on the blog all that in my opinion needs to be known at this time.
The tumor is continuing to take from Josie, and we're all struggling to not let this tumor take any more from us than it has already stolen. There has been and will be enough lost, too much. Matt and Alissa are fighting to keep loss to a minimum, and they are thankful for the good moments and discouraged and frustrated at times by the bad.
Thank you all for your continued love.
